Who is Leone?

Singer and performer Leone is the blast from the past we didn't know we all needed. His debut EP, Angst (2019), was hailed as a "very impressive debut" and deemed to be "the funkadelic throwback to a beloved bygone era." His melodious vocals and clever flow has been compared to artists of the past and present such as Curtis Mayfield, Anderson .Paak, Bootsy Collins and Blood Orange. A healthy serving of funk, soul, R&B, with a splash of house, this singer-songwriter is a powerful force to be reckoned with. 

Since his debut, Leone released his sophomore EP Private Life (2022) accompanied by 3 successful regional tours, with his backing band, the Ascension, connecting with people across the Southeastern US — including closing out the opening night of the 19th Annual Shakori Hills Music Festival, 2 nearly sold out headlining Charlotte, NC shows and opening for alt-hip hop artist Ahbi the Nomad. Leone and the Ascension, have proven to be an electrifying funktastic act that is guaranteed to have the audience out of their seat undergoing an out of body musical experience.
